Unbeaten Luis “El Artesano” Cruz showed his confidence this afternoon before his upcoming clash against former WBO junior lightweight champion Roman “Rocky” Martinez next April 16th in the Ultimate Rivalry show, starred by WBO featherweight Champion Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez versus former champion Orlando Salido at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon in a Top Rank presentation, in association with PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) to be televised on SHOWTIME. Cruz (17-0, 14 KOs) will face Martinez (24-1-1, 15 KOs) in a 12 round bout qualifying for the WBO junior lightweight title, held by Scotland Ricky Burns. “I’m very confident because of the training camp we have. I’ve been training since December for Roman Martinez and I’m ready,” Cruz said, before he started training with trainer Freddie Trinidad in the Caimito Gym. Cruz worked today in floor exercises, shadows, sparred with his trainer and hit the punching bag.
